Raquel’s #myfreedomstory

freedomstoryblog_raquel_250Dear PACN,

I found out about your services in 1996.  I was 14 years-old, pregnant and lost.  I had been abused in every definition of the word-sexually, physically, emotionally and mentally.  I had no idea what to do or where to turn. I was homeless and bouncing from couch to couch.  My family turned their backs on me and I didn’t see a way to support myself, let alone an unborn child.

Today, I have a successful career as an apartment manager. I own my own home and I am the proud mother of an amazing 16-year-old young woman.  She has made my life what it is today.  I can’t imagine a day without her.  Life has not always been easy but the rougher roads less traveled are most certainly the most rewarding.

My circumstances were equally as difficult as any story you could think of, but I can testify today that there is ALWAYS a light at the end of the tunnel.  With or without the support of your family, GOD will provide.

I would encourage young women faced with an unplanned pregnancy and unsure of what choice to make, to take the first step and reach out to PACN.  You have nothing to lose.  I believe God uses PACN to help sort things out in others’ lives through their support and guidance.  I find it reassuring to know that we are never alone.

#myfreedom story is this: community and support is available through the people of PACN.

Raquel
