  • Defunding of abortion clinics: why PACN should expand medical services
When HB2, aka Pre-born Pain Bill, passed this summer, it was a huge victory for everyone who values all life. Representative Jodie Laubenberg, author
of the Bill, summarized it like this: “This bill is about the health and safety of women, but also about the unborn child who has pain receptors and can feel
pain at 20 weeks.”
At PACN, we celebrate the passage of this Bill. We know this is not the end; it is only the beginning. We believe we need to expand medical services to include
well-woman exams. As abortion clinics close due to lack of government funding, low-income women will need a place to get yearly exams. We want PACN to be
that place. We want to keep abortion clinics defunded by filling that need.
Our well-woman exams will include testing for gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV,syphillis and a Pap smear with HPV testing. We anticipate offering 520 of these exams in the first year.
Another part of our medical expansion is to have a mobile clinic. This will allow us to reach those in our community who do not have reliable transportation to either of our centers.
These are aggressive and timely plans. A donor is willing to match funds for our medical expansion. Please prayerfully consider how you can be a part of this expansion program. Be on the lookout for more information to follow in a few weeks.
